I Have You To Thank Fellas :)

Gavin Degraw's recent single, "I Have You To Thank" made me do some thinking today as I'm walking in between classes.

Here's a snippet of lyrics so you can see where I'm going with this.

"I have you to thank for making me so
So hard to please because you treated me so
Good that no one else could hold your make-up
Because of you girl I never want to break up."

So for any of you who couldn't decipher, allow me. He's basically saying thank you to this girl who's treated him so good and made him HARD to please that no other girl can come close to her. Basically that he won't SETTLE for just any average joint cause he knows what it feels like to get that SPECIAL stuff. :)

So now back to why I'm thanking all the guys in my life. All the REAL guys whether it be friends or boys who have pursued me, it's really all because of you that I KNOW what I want in a guy, I want a guy that can reflect all the great qualities that my good male counterparts have.

Essentially, is why I have not and will not SETTLE.

I know I'm not the sh-t, I know I don't even come close, but the way that the guy pals in my life treat make me feel like I deserve so much, and I really want to thank you all.

I noticed I have these habits because of guys:

• I wear sweats a lot, cause I feel like guys will approach me or chill with me or if I'm one of them instead of some dress. Plus he won't be spending all his energy trying to get under or look underneath it. :]
• I minimize my cursing, it's not ladylike and guys notice and they don't like it. The look on their face when I do curse is just priceless.
  
• I keep it 120% and I don't like to gossip. When I'm around my guy friends they don't ever gossip, "Yo, you hear how XYZ cheated on his girl?" Nope, not never. I respect that so much.

So THANK you to all guys I have in my life! You guys keep my head on straight, keep me in check, and help me re-focus my focus. Not necessarily DIRECTLY or INTENTIONALLY but it's because of ya'll that I do.
